The series is kind of like Jericho, an isolated town, but dome is the same isolated town under a dome, a variation of a theme, so not totally original. I still like dome, because it is better the present day garbage on network broadcast television, though w_0_k_e_n_e_$_$ started infiltrating dome with some unfortunate themes. I had to do that to the "w" word, because this sight considers it offensive?????
