The Vibration Reduction Lens-Shift mode will help with image stabilization by reducing the effect of camera shake. This advanced image stabilization feature also offers compensation equivalent to an increase in shutter speed of roughly three stops. High International Organization of Standardization sensitivity reduces the risk of blurred images with fast-moving subjects or in low light. The high International Organization of Standardization mode is available up to 3200 at full size. Advanced motion detection will compensate for movement in either the camera itself or the subject of the picture. Best Shot Selector is an auto feature that automatically selects the sharpest of up to ten sequential shots. There are more advanced auto features in the smart portrait system. The smile timer results in shots taken whenever the subject smiles. A mode called blink proof alerts you when someone has his or her eyes closed. You can use skin softening to adjust uneven skin tones on people’s faces for smoother looking skin without having to do editing to the photo after the fact. Advanced face priority auto focus with in-camera red-eye fix allows you to quickly detect and focus accurately on up to twelve faces in the frame. This mode also corrects red eye due to flash the instant you take the shot. The Nikon Coolpix S8000 battery has impressive specs, including a battery life of approximately 210 shots with EN-EL12 battery. You'll Shutter At This Stellar Camera!
When I first decided to purchase a NEW camera that could also record videos way back in 2010, I researched quite a bit before finally landing with this make and model! It had served me well for nearly a full decade when it finally failed me due to an unknown cause just before Christmas of that year. As providence would have it, I searched on eBay for the exact same make and model of camera as the one that got damaged and lo and behold, a replacement was found and purchased! I just LOVE this easy to use point and shoot' camera from Nikon! I can't say enough about it! It takes great photos and videos too! In fact, I use this camera nearly exclusively for my YouTube Channel Videos! At just over 1k subscribers, I depend on my equipment to always work and always be ready at a moment's notice to video for my YouTube channel! Nikon S8000 Digital Camera
I love this camera; this is my 2nd one. It's small, really easy to learn to operate. I carry it in my purse all the time so if I see something I want to photograph I have it. You can use the camera on manual or automatic--regardless the pictures are still great quality. Am delighted to get the camera for this price because it sells for between $250 - $350 elsewhere. Really a great little camera.
