Takes good pix automatically but delay aft press shutter.
Camera takes good pix in dim, angled, moving car, just turned on. This may be because it actually shots 6 pix then chooses one to store. However to do this there is a delay to the shutter button for it to set up (assess) the shot before it takes them pixs. So it seems like the camera does not respond immediately to the shutter button but it is working and will take the shot when ready (as much as 1/2 sec when dark). Battery life when the camera is unused, is about 4 weeks. Lens does not motorize out like other cameras but that small lens reduces input light so it doesn't respond as well in dark scenes. Sony's Tx1 Lightweight with great features
The camera is easy to keep handy. It takes great pictures. It is just a wonderful and durable instrument. I use it for everything, food, landscapes, portraits, lots of candid shots and videos. The quality of everything is good even the sound in video. The TX1 by Sony also has fun graphic features that friends will enjoy. Battery life is good; although it is a good practice to have a back-up battery.
