Great Miss Marple and perfectly OK picture quality
Exactly as advertised. Some reviews have criticised the picture quality but in fact, although the picture quality is not up to 2020 HD standards, it is just what was normal in the 1980s - which is perfectly OK for home TV viewing. It's great to have these classic Joan Hickson videos again - her Miss Marple is without doubt the best.

Nostalgia perfection
Always loved this version of Miss Marple - so much better than later productions. Joan Hickson is superb, supported by first-class actors throughout. Excellent screenplay, written by a fellow-pupil from my school. Great production values, especially in re-capturing the period, which I am old enough to remember! The complete set is normally much more highly priced - this Dutch version is great value. Only small negative is that a couple of episodes have Dutch subtitles, which i wasn't able to switch off.

Everything In One Box
It's great to have the whole series in one box so you can chose what to watch,when you want to watch. Great series, great stories and great actors, the perfect combination.

Still the best Miss Marple
best Miss Marple! Unfortunately, quality slightly old and 'grainy' now, but still thoroughly enjoyable and sticks to original Agatha Christie, rather than altering the story to make it more modern. This particular DVD has Dutch subtitles which we couldn't get rid of, but managed to ignore.

Ok
The DVD came in sealed packet. On watching the discs the editing is not perfect (some scenes and titles are repeated mid story). It's ok for me but should be cheaper to reflect this.

Dont need foreign subtitles that can't be removed
This would be fine but for the foriegn subtitles that l can't get rid of it's extremely annoying as l wanted English subtitles as lm hard of hearing any one any ideas as how to fix this

subtitals
enjoyment of these super works of agatha christie very much spoiled by subtitles in dutch which were very distracting. It was impossible to get rid of them although other box sets I bought did not present this problem. Complete waste of money! The site did not say anything about there being dutch subtitles which could not be got rid of.

Very Disappointed
Very grainy hard to watch. Cannot get Dutch sub titles off one DVD. Lips out of sync on another. I was informed the poor quality was the fault of the original production, not true watched an episode on TV last week, perfectly watchable. Could only return if unopened according to EU law.

Poor
A poor quality picture with pixelation and shadowing. Dutch subtitles that cannot be removed for some episodes. The description of the DVD is inaccurate.
