Fellow tweakers look no further: Parts for perfect Y720 SSD Upgrade
I ordered this tray and cable for Lenovo y720 to install Samsung 850 EVO SSD 250GB for my system. Both parts fit perfectly and I got all required parts included to make the installation. Cable feels very fragile so I recommend being careful with it. At first cable looked like too short but after installing HDD with the tray, cable length was just perfect. No glue, soldering needed. What you need is small screwdriver to install this whole thing. I bought Lenovo y720 with 8GB ram with NVME 256GB.
