The Kenko Teleplus MC4 DGX is a teleconverter lens that enhances the focal length of the lens by 1.4x whereas its exposure magnification reaches up to 4x. It can be attached to Canon cameras. The Kenko lens makes use of the smart gated array integrated circuitry, which enables full exposure metering and linkage in case of electronic flash photography because all the data from the body of the camera is sent directly to the extender. The teleconverter lens can also record exit data quite accurately because the focal length and aperture settings of the lens are saved. As far as the construction of the Kenko Teleplus MC4 DGX is concerned, it consists of four elements that are arranged into four groups and it contains a fully automatic coupling diaphragm. The Kenko lens comes with digital multi-coating of high quality while minimum-focusing distance stays the same as for the prime lens. The length of the Kenko Teleplus MC4 DGX is 1-inch whereas it weighs merely 3.9 oz.

Get the better one
I bought this 1.4 teleconverter to use with a 400mm lens. Maybe I need to work with it more to get used to using it, but I think I lose quite a bit of sharpness with this teleconverter on my L lens, as the lens by itself is very sharp. I actually orderred this converter thinking it was the better one. I almost sent it back, but waited too long to do so. My opinion is get the better one, or get one made by the lens maker.
