Reliable, efficient, and worth what I paid for it.
This is a reliable machine. I read the instructions and only use it accordingly. This Honda generator worked for us really well when we were dealing with power outages last year resulting from hurricanes. I start it up every so often for maintenance and only run fuel that has no ethanol in it whenever possible to avoid fuel issues. It's quiet and efficient for sure. I ran my large Samsung fridge, TV, amplified TV antennae, lamps, computer off of it with no problem. For me its perfect for power outages. When I needed to run the washing machine I would just unplug the fridge and then plug it back into the generator after my clothes were done. Best economical gas generator I have ever used. Best Generator for off grid use
We love our Honda EU 2000i Generator so much we bought another as backup. We live off grid, and use the generator for several hours daily to run a battery charger to charge our battery bank. It is quiet, reliable, usually easy to start, and economical to run. It automatically responds to load, so when there's not much running it just idles, and will run for hours on a gallon of gas. We do have to do occasional maintenance on it, but that's not at all surprising when you consider how much we run it. The automatic shutoff when the oil gets low is a nice feature, so long as you remember to check if that's why it suddenly refuses to run! It also has a switch on the gas cap that can potentially get bumped into the Off position, which will also keep it from running. In really cold weather it helps to give it a little pure isopropyl dry gas, and it starts easier if we bring it in the house and warm it up for a while before taking it back out to start it - but it's light weight (as generators go) so that's not too onerous a chore. It does occasionally need the spark plug cleaned or replaced, and we've done an overhaul on our old one a few times - but we've been using it constantly for ten years, so we really have no complaints.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

You get what you pay for!
This thing was quite expensive, but it is also very reliable. Starts with one or two pulls and runs so quiet you don't know its there, if you space it far enough away. Very economical on gas and you can get an extended run time gas can for it if you want to power the 120v in your house during a power outage. Has more than enough power for all the power tools I have run on it so far, chop saw, table saw, circular saws, sawzall, hammer drills etc. So far I am very pleased with this generator and expect it to last for a very long time.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Reliable power
When you need power regardless of an outage, camping, hunting, fishing, or even building this is the unit to have. Cannot run everything but can run the important things needed for everyday life and most tools/chargers. Must have if you have frequent power outages or are in the outdoors or off grid as they say. Best Inverter Generator in its class
You can find other brands for less money, but if you love reliability when you need it most. Go with the honda eu2000i, i am using a regular refrigerator, lights, 65 inch samsung led tv charging iphones, and its about like 55% of the watts limits of 1,600 continious watts capacity (remember 2,000 watts is starting watts) Love it.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Arrived promptly as expected
The Honda EU2000i is widely reviewed and considered best-in-class. I have no disagreement there. My only suggestion is to buy a low cost mechanical hour meter and the compatible Honda DC cable (12v). Shorten the cable to a reasonable length, fold it back on itself with a couple of zip ties, crimp the hour meter connectors, and use a velcro patch to stick the meter to the side of your generator. You now have a simple easy to read hour meter for well under $20 with no permanent modifications. You will need to change the oil after 20 hours and every 100 hours after that. EU2000i Honda inverter won't start
Received the generator in good shape. Generator would not start. Removed carburetor from generator and cleaned. Bowl had hard crystals in it. Still won't start. Next step will be to completely disassemble and clean. Small carburetor ports are easily plugged. This is a great machine. It is light weight.
