Bob Makes a Great Training Partner !!!
I frequently find myself without a training partner...now with my BOB I can train many drills that usually require a live partner...and the best part about having BOB as a partner is that he doesn't complain that I'm hitting too hard!!...construction of BOB seems to be of very high quality....apparently the material used to form BOB has been reformulated as his feel mimics real flesh than older models I have trained with...the base is sturdy and easy to fill ( I used water )....I use BOB for knife, stick and empty handed training drills...I highly recommend BOB to anyone who wants to hone their martial skills without having a live training partner....Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Nice, solid design. Fun to kick, and the weight is good for small to medium sized person.
It's a nice product, and I'm happy I bought it. It's relatively expensive, but so is my Land Cruiser (vs other SUVs). All in all, you do get a solid quality piece of equipment, but you pay for it. Century B.O.B.-workout partner and therapist
Century has a great product here. I'm not really experienced in martial arts-I just have a lot of stress to work out. Taking it out on Bob (or as I call him, Scrum) has made an incredible difference in my attitude and mental health. I no longer catch myself talking to myself since I got this. My arms and shoulders hurt the day after a work out, but it's better than keeping it all in. Also, paired with hard music with a driving beat, the work out is a great calorie burner. In my case the Wave Master Base and the B.O.B. came in separate shipments, so if you get the base in one shipment, don't fret all day like I did-I think they just come from different warehouses or something. Set up was super easy for me, but I am 6'4" so it may be difficult for smaller users. It's probably worth it to get a Harbor Freight dolly to move it around (that's what the instructions tell you to do. Good for home use.
It's been about 3 years since I purchased Century BOB XL. I got 5 of them for my dojo. Just recently some white "stuff" started to come out from the bottom of the torso where it slides onto the base. It's not a fully sealed unit, you can see the inner fill from the bottom At first I thought it was dust forming around the base, but after detailed inspection I found out that the inside fill material (foam) starts disintegrating from heavy use. Now we have to vacuum after each use. I guess BOB is now dieting and losing weight. When filled with water it easily slides around and can be knocked down with heavy kicks. Filling it with sand can be time consuming and unpractical unless you never plan to move. The rubber skin seems to be holding up very well. It's an OK value for a free-standing bag. It doesn't exactly substitute a heavy-bag but nevertheless, it is a great tool for training striking/kicking accuracy or speed, human-like shape really facilitates targeting. It is easy to set up. I would only recommend this product for home use or strictly targeting tool, not for professional heavy use.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Wowzers!!!
Was on the fence about this or a heavy bag.........Got this instead, and am I ever glad! just as durable and tough as a heavy bag, and allows for more accurate training & muscle memory vs. learning bad habits from using a heavy bag. Gives a very real sense of targeting and resistance, and adds life to JKD training. The new improved "BOB" is worth the investment over the old bob, as you can get thigh & crotch kicks in. Also---back-side completely covers the adjustment sleeve, so you can do shots to the back also. Expensive? Yep!! Worth it.....Oh hell yeah. As realistic as you can get to improve on skills

Great exercise bag
