Speichenspannung prüfen!
Um lange ohne Speichenbrüche Rad fahren zu können, benötigt man eine gleichmäßige Spannung der Speichen je Radseite, die natürlich auch die richtige Höhe haben muß. Um dies zu gewährleisten ist eine Prüfung der Speichenspannung nach Tonhöhe oder Handdruck vollkommen ungeeignet - es sei denn, man ist Profi im Einspeichen... Ganz besonders wichtig wird die richtige Speichenspannung, wenn die Speichen hohe Kräfte übertragen müssen und/ oder wegen großer Nabendurchmesser nur sehr kurz sein können, insbesondere auch bei kleineren Felgengrößen. Dies ist regelmäßig bei Pedelecs, Ebikes und Nabenschaltungen sowie Falträdern gegeben. Hier sollte man sich im Interesse einer langen Speichen- Lebensdauer und der Fahrsicherheit nicht auf das Schätzen verlassen! Da hilft das Park Tool TM-1 ganz ausgezeichnet und ist sehr einfach in der Anwendung! Wünschen würde ich mir lediglich noch eine Möglichkeit, das TM-1 zu kalibrieren. Als Notbehelf hierfür geht zwar eine Überprüfung der Anzeige an einem eingespeichten Rad vom Fachmann, aber wer hat den schon immer zur Hand, wenn er ihn braucht...Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Tension, stress relief?
A must have item for the home mechanic. Built my first pair of wheels with this tool, then did the LEJOG and happy to say not even a wobble after 900 miles! You can tap the spokes to get the same pitch to get even tension but this is much quicker and more precise. OK for wheels over 20" and with small hubs only.
I bought this to help me with lacing and truing the wheels for a new trike project. The tool works well; but only on 50% of the spokes because anything with a 20" wheel and a large diameter hub means that half the spokes are inaccessible because with the required "crossing" pattern there is insufficient spoke to attach the tool to. A bit disappointed that this restriction is not made clear by the manufacturer. Would be great for wheels 24 and over. But for me it has been a wasted purchase.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Excellent product
Been using it to true some vintage East German rims from my collection, and it's a real time-saver. A solid, well-thought-out product with excellent documentation.
