An essential must have if you service any kit with a serial interface
After installing the driver from the include CD-ROM just plug the USB end in and you are good to go. I have only tested it on Windows 10. The length of the cable is around half a meter which you might think short but bear in mind you will most likely need a null modem cable to complete the connection so this should not be an issue. I personally like the shorter cable as it is easier to wind up and store away. I have run it at 9600 and 115200 baud with no problems.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Straightforward to install and use
I bought one of these USB adaptors, after trying unsuccessfully to get a Serial port PCI Express card to work in my Windows 10 computer. Works with Windows10
I have a GPS which connects via a serial port, however newer PCs no longer have serial ports, only USB. This was overcome by using a USB to serial converter, unfortunately the original converter I had was not compatible with Windows 10. If it works on your XP computer you can use it on your win10 computer now!
I needed to use a 9 pin D serial switching lead on a much more modern computer with USB ports only. The adapter came with a CD essential for installation and it was NOT broken. No issues with Windows 10 (64 bit)
I was sceptic with other cheap products with bad reviews so chose this device. I plugged it in and Plug & Play kicks in, Windows 10 (64 bit) recognized it with no hiccups.
