GarageBand 6.0, Installation a Problem, Vendor Did Not Respond to eBay Message
I bought this to only use GarageBand 6.0 on a 2005 MacBook with OS 10.7.5. Installation is a big problem because Apple decided to expire the installation certificate on 3/26/2012. I eventually found several pieces of technical info on different forums, and only finally succeeded by trial and error, and intuition. At one point I messaged the eBay Vendor regarding installation problems, but the Vendor never responded. In the end, I got it to install, and GarageBand 6.0 functions as expected. If you intend to purchase this software to run on an older computer, you will need to reset your clock to a date before 3/26/2012, reboot, launch the Installer in a mode to see separate installation packages, and then get the order of each package correct, or you will experience more installation failures.

Mainly for FileMaker Pro
My old FileMaker Pro 7 would not install in my new MacBookPro with El Capitan OSX. It was questionable if this version would install and work. I took a chance that it would, and am glad I did. The FileMaker 10 program on the disc installed and seems to be working quite well. I have not installed any other of the features on the disc yet -- The FileMaker program alone is worth the price. All my old FileMaker files are no longer orphaned. BTW apparently FileMaker is not yet even offering a version that they guarantee will work with El Capitan OSX 10.11.2.

The included iPhoto won't work w/ Intel based machines.
Comes with latest version of iPhoto - but be aware that iPhoto does not work on INTEL based machines. You will have to use the Apple application, part of their operating system This iLife '11 includes the latest version of iPhoto - but be aware that iPhoto does not work on INTEL based machines. You will have to use the Apple application called simply "PHOTOS'; version 1.5 was included with Operating System El Capitan 10.11.6. Somehow you have to extract all your pictures from the older iPhoto application, and then import them into PHOTOS. /rrd

Once a nice set of useful applications, it is over eight years old and crippled by Apple.
I needed this to replace the copy on an aging iMac that had a failed hard disk. I believe this version to be one of the last to support the hardware I was repairing. iLife was originally a great program, but Apple and some third parties have disabled some of its functionality over time. Hardest hit is "iPhoto" which has been replaced by "Photos" in current software. As examples, the "Places" function does not work, and neither does the integration iPhoto had with FaceBook. I knew about most of this going in, but wanted to restore as much as I could.

older life version
If you need this version of i life this is the place quick ship and in and looks like origoinal package the disc looked brand new and it worked perfectly have no complaints and ilife 11 is a good stable version and has a great version of imovie.

Good product compatible with 10.6.8.
iLife 11 includes versions of iMovie, Garageband and iPhoto that are compatible with OSX 10.6.8 which I use and intend to go on using for some time. Initially the software would not install at all. A search found an Apple work-around, and once downloaded and installed, allowed the full installation to proceed. All works good, very happy with the product.

Great Product - Just Understand It's Limitations
I initially purchased my MacBook Pro in order to download the latest version of GarageBand. I thought El Capitan (10.11.6) would work, however, it did not. (You need 10.12 to get it.) This disc loaded very easily and does exactly what it says it will do. There's no false advertising here so if this interests you don't worry for one second that it won't work. iMovie and GarageBand are the older versions but work very well. The only complaint about this version of GarageBand is that each track is a dark purple which makes it a nuisance to make precise edits. Having said that, I think it's a great value for the money. Buy it.

Check it all out before you buy it
Well Apple ID is real sensitive/ propriety so the Macbook I was on was mine but my Apple ID could not work but only for I photo ...and I bought this for garage band and IMovie which didn’t come with the older MacBook Pro I have

Product did not work as expected. The iPhoto package installed in my mac using this DVD was already discontinued and not supported by apple. Invalid or expired certificate.

Worth the cost...
Seemed difficult to install but second try worked and the apps included seem to function except in accepting old completed versions. This was loaded on a O.S. 10.13.6 Also the iPhoto worked and can be used with iPhoto Library.
