I'm not sure it would hold it zero if you were shooting slugs at long range, but I'm shooting turkey loads and this saddle mount scope base is plenty steady for that. It is low profile on the shotgun and you can still see down the vent rib.
I don't know if this on is in production anymore. Glad I found it.
It fit my grandsons Mossberg Maverick 88 20 ga just fine but he is only 8 year's be old and Everytime he shot it the mount would tair his little hand up so we got a rib mount for 1/2 the money and it works great on the shotgun it is a truglo made for a 22 but fits rib on Mossberg just fine
