Good iPod for repair
The broken screen was easy to fix and the replacement screen is readily available. In general, iPod of this generation is easy to fix. The weakest link is the cable for the earphone and the main board. The connector can easily be broken off from the ribbon. If you do that, don't worry, you can get a replacement ribbon cable from ebay for about $10.00. Another note, the ribbon cable for iPod 4th Generation is not compatible with 4th Generation Photo.
