I absolutely love the Pimax 5K+. Coming from and OG Vive the image clarity is simply off the charts. Also the field of view is mind blowing. Comfort is subjective but Pimax are releasing a new Comfort Kit, and head strap this year. I only gave 4 stars for two reasons: 1- the build quality on the outside is cheap. For what it cost, it feels like it can break easily. Be careful with it. 2- getting used to the software and getting the Pimax set exactly how you want it takes a LONG TIME. You will be be rebooting the software again and again and again until you get it set the way you prefer. This was annoying at first. Once you do set it the way you like it, you are good to go. I just boot up, put on the headset, and play. Some games require “special settings”. You will figure these out as you go. You can save Game Profiles for these games so you don’t have to reboot with the changes each time. Just select the game profile and start. Running a 1080ti I can barely max settings out in games and keep reasonable frames. Due to the resolution being so high, even at lower in-game settings the image is crisp and clear. To me this is a good thing showing the amount of room to upgrade you have with this headset. All in all the Pimax is not for everyone. If you are a person new to VR that wants to pull it out the box, plug it in and start playing....this headset is not for you. If you are a VR Enthusiast and like to tinker with settings making the headset exactly how YOU want it, then I suggest the Pimax. Best VR for under $600
If you have between 4 and 600 to spend on a VR headset this is the one to get. Widest field of view available. Super clear picture, and high mhz prevents motion sickness. The only downside is controllers don't come with it and can be very costly. Pimax 5k plus
Those who want to save some money when it comes to a Pimax 5k plus or super I would recommend a 5k plus. So the 5k super is built better and is more comfortable to wear but it's the same resolution and same lenses.
