Great value. Very flexible.
I found the Main Squeeze to be useful for a few sounds. It handled the light compression thing just fine with open sounding chords that had some jangle and sustain. At the other end of the spectrum was the squashed, squishy sustain city type of sound. In the middle is great for chicken pickin' fun. This is my favorite territory for silky smooth leads that seem to just hang for as long as you want. Then you figure in the price of these often overlooked gems. Good value, has it's faults..
Tighten up your signal and add some punch for less than half the cost of a ' boutique' pedal. Could use a built-in noise suppression circuit as it does add some noticable hiss when pushed ( same issue the Main Squeeze pedal has) Use it behind a Digitech Synth wah pedal & the hiss is gone. The Main Squeeze does increase the balance of tone between strings, provide fuller tone overall, allow for equalization control of the tone, and increase sustain. The intensity of the effects seem to increase with the volume of the amplifier. There is some hiss associated with the addition of the provided effects, which can be decreased by experimentally turning down knobs. The construction is intuitive, intelligent, and durable.Overall, this box rocks!
