Security
I bought this share center, I recently moved my security the cameras and it had become a pain to check the alerts as they were being sent to my phone, and i wanted somtghin small but cable of running an FTP Server, without being a PC, this device does all that and more, I'm abe to set up my FTP server send my alerts to the FTP server and review at leasure and in squence and date order, it also doubles as my media storage, its fast and very easy to setup and also has the capability to shutdown and startup when required autmatically, to save space and energy, all an all very good value for money.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great Drive, terrible server
If you're looking for a cheap way to build some Network Attached Storage, this product will be fine. If you're tempted by the promise of addons, built in torrent server etc. don't bother. The Device has a terribly slow processor, so putting any stress on it will result in the entire web interface slowing to a halt. The fan in the unit is incredibly noisy - I had planned on leaving it in the family room to stream movies off the built in DLNA server to my TV (which does work by the way!) but It's so noisy I'm not sure where I'm going to put it. I have read posts online of people replacing the fan, I might give that a go. Over all - it's an OK purchase, for the price there's nothing else that really competes, but if you can spare a few ££ more I'd probably recommend researching a different product.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Ideal solution for home
This works well and is easy to install and use. Not sure how well it would perform in a business environment but for home use with only three users it manages to be almost flawless. In all cases the device has shown to be reliable and functional. Easy to set up and very quiet.
I needed a new NAS drive as my old one (ten years) failed. As I had some hard disks I went for this unpopulated option. The installation disk took me through all the steps, although I was unaware that to configure it you need an Ethernet cable as opposed to wireless. It has some bugs trying to connect for the first time. Just use a cable directly to the router and it will be ok.
