Superbly built but outdated
This model is best for people who want to complete there Marantz system with a perfectly matched dvd/blu ray player. This is a superb transport for cd, sacd and dvd audio and plays dvd and blu ray disc flawlessly. Though not being 4K capable may deter some buyers for paying more then 300$ for this older model. Also, the streaming is rather slow and just not fast enough. But this model is older, so can’t fault it to much for that,though most people will be streaming through their receiver or smart TV. Since the DVD and Blu Ray format will be all but obsolete soon. I can still recommend this player because of its audiophile grade audio playback/transport system and all your old collection of DVDs and Blue ray discs will look great and it looks beautiful on top of all Marantz receivers, as it matches even the latest models perfectly.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Lesson of refurbs
This review is for those of you who are afraid to buy a refurbished item. I was excited to see a Marantz Blu-ray play at a very reasonable price because it was refurbished. I quickly made my order and waited anxiously for the item. When it arrived it was pretty beaten up — deep scratches on the case and a cracked screen. I was disappointed and contacted the seller (over a holiday weekend). I was offered two discounts, but wanted to return the damaged "dream machine." Marrantz UD5007 application have flaws in electronic function
This has some flaws in pause mode, it only works in single track, it will not continue to hold when I press forward to different numbers of tracks. Also, When I try start to select any track number from remote control keyboard, it will not register the track number to play, it only work when I press a play button and then pause it, and it will work by pressing selective track number to play.
