Marantz MCR 611
I've received Marantz MCR611, well non original packed. I've checked only analogue, CD and Rear USB input with speakers KEF Q3 sound is enough good. FM radio needs antenna probably. Android application does not recognized this device yet. The devise detected my Wi-Fi connection and started update firmware. I hope understand all opportunities this microsystem and enjoy it soon.

Very very slow in connection, even wired
One month into using this unit, I'm not very satisfied with it. The sound is good, the looks ok, but when it comes to connecting to the network or reading USB's , it's EXTREMELY SLOW !!! You have to wait and restart it a few times. Sometimes it takes me 30 minutes to have it running again. I used to have a Yamaha WXC-50 which was WAAAAAAAAAY faster both on network and USB and it remembered USB playing and starting from exactly the same place, as this one, if you don't pause it before stopping, it doesn't remember where it was left. Plus, it reads the system information file from USB, what for???? The Yamaha wasn't reading and showing that. Plus, another big problem for me is that when you play USB music and have different folders, it doesn't jump through folders on random play and there is no option for this. If you want random through folders, you have to eliminate folders. I mean even the cheapest car USB player goes through folders when playing random files. One last thing, the internal battery does not keep the settings of the clock, so, if you disconnect it from power you have to set the clock again, every time !!! Overall, not a pleasant experience as a user. I expected a bit more, but I guess for the price, you get what you pay for

Far form perfection it should be for the money
The design is nice, it plays high quality sound, however there as flaws in the firmware. Sometimes Spotify stops working suddenly without a reason, you need to turn the box off and on again, to make it work. I use Polish language on it, and when it says "Farewell" in Polish on turning off, first letter is missing (useless, but annoying). Adding favourite streaming channels via website is not friendly and the website looks like from '80s not 2017. For long time streaming of the radio station started to getting glitches and clicks after some time. It's a bit better now, but still happens. So it's a five star hardware quality, but only three star software controlling it - Marantz has a lot to learn. They send improvements from time to time, and it slowly improves, not fast enough to satisfy me.

Some connectivity issues
The system is great and sounds very good. The user interface through iPad is not optimal though. There are connectivity issues which are only fixed by disconnecting the power cord and rebooting, slow operation of the app and operational failures. If those problems were fixed it would be a perfect system.

Well designed and pretty idiot proof
Dont you just love it when something is intuative to set up and then simply works like you expect it too. This unit has surpassed my expectations which is a rare event. The sound through my Mission 740s is good and the whole thing works great with my Ipod & Itunes account. If I have one small complaint its that the hand set is reeeeeelllyyyy old fashiond looking and lacks any cool or wow factor

"Top Quality and simple handling"
The handling is very simple. It works without instructions. The sound is very good. But please use speakers with high efficiency.

Brilliant piece of HiFi that sounds amazing.
Now I have owned the 611 for a month or so, I cannot believe it has fullfilled every expectation I had, and some. Great build quality and sound, connected to a pair of Q Acoustics 3050's so can deliver excellent performance across all the output options I have tried so far.

Marantz mcr 611
As expected this comes nowhere near the performance of my old Yamaha A.S 701 amp. However, when linked to a pair of zensor 1's and a Yamaha YST-FSW150 the outcome is not far off extraordinary. If you are considering downsizing you really can't go wrong. Just lower the bass and rely on the sub with the top end of the dali's.....you'll be surprised.
