Nikon Coolpix S6500 12X Optical Zoom 16 Mega Pixel, AMAZING Camera
Nikon Coolpix s6500 is a great size pocket size camera with a remarkable 12X zoom,plus 16 meg pixels shooting. The camera is easy to learn with not a lot of dials and layers of computer screens to confuse the user who wants just to shoot great pictures and videos. The camera itself has a very desireable attractive design and size that will make it easy to always keep it with you for times you might leave a camera at home. The camera has a fast start up time, little to no delay when pushing the shutter release, a 3" viewing screen when taking pics that can be seen outdoor in daylight. The camera is great under variable lighting conditions, taking great pics indoors with/ or without built in flash. The camera scene selections covers most pics you will want to take. There is a tripod connector on the bottom for those that want rock steady photos and video. 180/ 360 degree pan scenes can be taken horizontal or vertical with just a sweep of the camera. It comes with built in wifi for transferring photos to your computer or tablet, but does not connect to a smart phone for remote control of the camera. Nikon got it right with the Coolpix S6500 giving the most desired features in a compact digital camera with a high mega pixels and 12X optical zoom, not normally found in a camera this size, that you will always want to have with you for taking great photos. Nikon Coolpix S6500
Seller shipped on schedule. Good buy at like $69 vs new price, it is refurbished and not new. Works great for my use. I have had it a couple weeks and I ride MC with it around my neck and take pictures of views, roads, etc. I am seldom without my camera. One draw back is the Power On button is a bit hard to use with riding gloves or mittens used for riding. I am not looking at the camera, just using my left hand to operate camera. Also, have to be careful you don't set telephoto (ZOOM IN) when operating with one hand and not looking at the camera -- sometimes tape the control to make it stay at Zoom Out. The old ones I have had used AA Batteries that I prefer, but eventually all those types gave problems with the latch that kept the batteries in the camera. That said, I use a camera a lot and give 'em hard use. This one has Lithium batteries, was able to buy extras with a charger easily. Take two batteries with me when I go (end up changing batteries sometimes). Recharge them when I get home. Nice camera for Point and Shoot (I set minimum PIXELS and downsize those with FOTOSIZER once in the computer and edit with the FREE Microsoft editor). Some recent pictures (after I downsized files to like 125KB) - road pictures taken while moving.

This Nikon COOLPIXS6500 is still a very popular model for its ease of use and quality photos and enhancement options that are standard on this model. This model will take portrait quality pictures and it will let you modify and retake the picture that is in memory. Good value
Had dropped my Nikon camera and killed it. Nikon wanted almost the same cost as new to repair. This was an older model, but loved the features. Small and quality
Produces high quality photos. My only real complaint was I could not figure out how to save battery life by killing the view screen between shots. Not sure if it can be done. If you don't use it for a while it shuts itself off (which is sensible) but you may miss a shot if you were hoping it was in stand-by mode and not off. Sometimes the older models are the best and this one is.
I bought this same camera some years back and it finally went ka-put. I found this one and got a good deal on it. Of the coolpix series this is by far the easiest to use. GREAT CAMERA
The processors eventually go bad in these cameras, but they offer excellent photo quality and too many features to list that cell phones just don't have. This is my third camera I purchased after my initial one (bought when introduced) then one in between. No issue with refurbishment and it was excellently packed and included items you'd get when new including a strap, which I didn't expect. It's funny that my Canon AE-1 and Canon T-70 film cameras (with Cokan filters) still work like new and I've had them for decades short of the replacing batteries. Great value for a great camera
This little camera is awesome. I’m able to download directly into my cell via Nikon app and the camera WiFi feature. Small and easy to carry. When this camera first came out it was over 200 dollars.
