I have purchased many joysticks. This one is easily my favorite.
I had one of these when I was a kid and just purchased one recently on Ebay. It is just like I remember it. Its highly adjustable, making it functional for all hand sizes. Due to the button placement, it is designed to be used directly in front of you / where your keyboard would typically be. If you want to use it next to a keyboard, 3 of the buttons will be difficult to reach. There is only 1 true negative thing I can say about this model, and it is likely a manufacturing defect as it was present on my original and my current. The twist axis is centered with a spring, and there is a small amount of play on the left side of the axis. What this means is that if you twist to the left and let it center itself, it will not center it fully. It brings it to roughly 1 - 2 degrees off center. For many games this doesn't register, but in some (Mechwarrior 4, for example) it will register a small amount of movement. More or less what I was looking for
It looks good and operates acceptably well. The alignment is slightly off but that's not surprising for a used item and can be somewhat adjusted for. You cannot download Windows 7+ drivers from Saitek for this device (they only support it up to Windows XP) but Microsoft does include them in Windows so not a huge problem. The ability to adjust the grip is useful for me as I'll be using it left handed but I can also appreciate the ability to adjust it to multiple hand sizes as well.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
