Product as Listed, 100% Accurately
The listing was "For Parts/Needs Repair", I took a chance on the Product. It indeed turned ON as per the listing, 100% accurate - ZERO misrepresentation implied herein. Upon stretching it's legs, tuning Volume Up near halfway on the dial - the ability to consistently hold the volume was Not there... so, some form of repair(s) are indeed in order. However, normal listening volumes the Unit performs Well. I believe the Sound is clearer and cleaner than the Nakamichi AV-400 which preceded it. A very attractive Unit, the AV-10 is some 30% larger and heavier than the AV-400. For a 5.1 Setup, I believe a Nakamichi vintage AV Receiver is Your Best Choice! Extremely Rare and Great To Have Found It!
I was so thrilled to have found a "REAL" Nakamichi Remote for my AV-10 not one of the aftermarket remotes that have been programmed to work with the amp. This remote was made with a true learning protocol to be able to use it with all your other AV equipment. They are extremely rare especially if it is working condition, which this one is and its in great shape. Second best home amplifier after McIntosh 5000 ($6500) but with price nobody can beat. I own one already. That is my second one. Same remote control.
