Setup isn't intuitive, but a great product.
This is a great tool for getting some indoor practice with your Yuneec Typhoon H. It has some really nice challenge exercises built in to help you get used to working with the drone in "Angular" mode. I dinged it 1 star because setting it up is a little bit difficult. I would have thought it could be easier, but I had to go find a You-Tube video to help me through the process. It's not "difficult", but it's just not readily apparent. Once it was set up, though...awesome!

works but not what I had hoped for
You can use your st0 controller to fly on your computer. It works fine except I had hoped for a little more. While you can use the controller to fly the drone, no information is displayed on the controller. I always keep track of various things like altitude, distance, speed, direction and other things while I'm flying. There is nothing displayed on the controller while flying with the simulator. I would have liked that. This still works as a simulator and can help new pilots to learn or experienced pilots from getting rusty when not able to actually fly for an extended period of time. I guess I'm being overly picky.

Excellent simulator for Yuneec Aircraft owners
This was a bit tricky for me to get it to work at first. There are some very distinct steps that must be followed. I found these to work best: For the first use of the simulator. 1. Plug the simulator into the USB port of the PC. 2. Start the Yuneec controller (the transmitter). 3. Start the simulator software on the PC. 4. On the controller, go to Model Select and create a New Model specifically for the simulator, e.g. SimuYuneec, or something like that. Click on that model. 5. On the simulator go to Model and select your model. 6. Still on the simulator go to Radio and click on Bind Yuneec USB receiver. 7. On the simulator, click on OK for "Please set the transmitter into Bind mode". 8.On the transmitter (controller) go to System Settings and select Bind then click on Refresh, your model will show under Model in black-and-white letters. Click on the black-and-white letter model then click on Bind. You will see Connection Established! Click OK. 9. On the simulator click OK "In the Bind Menu of the transmitter now select the USB receiver SRxxx-xxxxx, then click OK". You will see a window telling you to push the return button on the transmitter (controller). Push the return twice. (this is on your transmitter to the right side of the Home button in the row under the screen). 10. On the simulator click OK on the window that you see next. 11. You should see "The bind procedure has been completed successfully". Happy simulating! For subsequent uses of the simulator, you can skip steps #4 and #5. You should be good to go.

Tuned Q500 Flight Simulator
I love the fact that I could practice flying my quad and not worry about crashing an expensive piece of equipment. Features react the same way as the real thing; after a few sessions I took my Q500 to the field and brought back home safely each and every time. A small investment that can be used on rainy days to maintain proficiency.

Yuneec Q500 flight simulator
Great training aid to get a little seat time in with your controller. Let's you improve your techniques on windy or inclement weather days. Great graphics and realistic quad sound lets you experience what flying the yuneec feels like.

It looks exactly like the photo so I wont add one. It seems durable tough to say cause it's not like it will see a lot of action to test durability really. It's entertaining in so much that you enjoy flying your drone without crashing it! Most people tell you buy a cheap drone and learn to fly that before you hop on your expensive drone. If you're considering buying this, you obviously have a Typhoon of some kind. Now imagine you buy some cheap manual drone to learn to fly, that uses a different controller and the drone only has 9mins flight time but still takes 30mins-1hr to charge. This is by far the best solution. You could literally spend hours practicing on this. You could put it into manual mode, adjust wind speed and direction and you're using the controller for the "expensive" drone so it wont be any different when you actually go to fly. Lastly after using this and practicing in both manual and gps mode it's...SOOOOOOOO much easier to fly. I have so much more control than when I was just flying every chance I got. The sim exaggerates drone succeptibility to wind so when you actually get out there and the drone is rock solid stable its so easy.

Essential tool for learning to fly without breaking things, and an incredible value.
Ah yes! The Simulator... what an awesome thing to have! When I first thought I'd figured out the functions on my controller, I took my Typhoon G for a little test flight... hmm. It very quickly became obvious that I couldn't control the machine as well as expected, but was able to bring it down low before knocking off a prop. This simulator really became an essential training tool, and also allows me to practice flying no matter what the weather, without risking damage to my investment. I now consider myself to be one of the best drone pilots in my local circles, and if not for this tool I may have given up before being able to survey my acreage by air, which is what makes my drones very valuable tools for me indeed.

Great training tool. Fun to use on rainy or windy days.
Once you download the software for this its simply a matter of plugging it into a USB port, make a few settings adjustments, and your flying. I was surprised there was no lag time between my movements on the transmitter and what I could see on the screen. For newbies, this is the way to start out. It beats making your learning the hard way and costing you money and time fixing your quad. Highly recommend.

Great training aid
Using this flight simulator is a lot of fun,while learning to better control the actual drone. The only drawback, in my opinion, is with the software. You are limited to flying in the same open field. This has nothing to do with the USB device. It works perfectly. It would be great if more scenarios were added to the downloadable software program.

practice sim for yuneec drone = priceless
the sim is a great way to practice flying with the controller . challenge mode is as it implies challenging ! would like to see more environments say like flying courses and incorporate a sim for the camera so its not just line of site . regardless I say its a must if you have little experience flying expensive drones considering no risk factor ,plus its fun crashing the drone in the simulation . extremely happy I bought this tool.
