S&W Model 520's (N.Y.S.P.) best companion
Nobody listed any type of speed loader for this extremely rare Smith & Wesson Model 520 .357 MAG built specifically for the New York State Police back in 1980. After they were built and ready to deliver, the N.Y.S.P decided that this N-Frame pistol was too heavy for most of the patrols, so they backed out of the deal. S&W then made them available to sell to the public. S&W never produced any more of them. Needless to say, the 520 never made it to popular listings for accessories. After purchasing several brands and types of speed loaders, none seemed to feel in-tune with the wheel of this fine pistol until I acquired the HKS Model 27-A. Perfect fit, snagless insertion, and positive hold & release make for a perfect match for my needs. Of course, I had to buy 9 more of them to make my trips to the range more fun and efficient time wise. All my other pistols are semi-automatics, but any more wheel-guns I purchase will be promptly accompanied by HKS speed loaders.

HKS Speedloaders, a valuable accessory for wheelgunning.
Excellent way to keep extra rounds on hand for your revolvers. Easy as can be but I have to admit I don't have experience using them for "speed reloading" drills. Just normal speed, casual. The only thing to look out for is that .357 being longer than .38, be sure your left grip gives enough clearance to insert the cartridges straight enough to drop in easily. Otherwise you will have to change grips or stick to finger loading. SO I have these for J, K, an now N frame with good results.

These little gems work good. They seem to be kind of loose when your ammo is in them but they do not fall out as long as they are put in correctly.

Good speedloaders
I have always liked hks.they are more solid being of metal and plastic than other brands that are all plastic.
