Worth the price
I replaced my i5-4570s with the i7-4790s despite many opinions out there that there isn't enough of a performance gain to justify the price of even a used CPU. In fact the i7 made a huge difference with the hyperthreading, which doubled the logical processors available to my machine from 4 to 8. Bottom line is many processor reviews are focused on gaming where maybe this upgrade doesn't make sense, but for music production I can't reccomend it enough.
