there is of course a happy ending
a very surprising character study of a small English family--Marianne Faithful is perfect as a dowdy middle aged english woman who sacrifices her respectability in the eyes of her son and her female friends in order to help save the life of her grandson--It is funny without tags or punchlines or obvious jokes of any sort, but rather is effectively humorous given the characters and the situations--There is of course a happy ending.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

A Big Hand for Irina Palm!
Irina Palm details a grandmother's efforts to help save her grandson's life despite overwhelming odds and obstacles. Maggie, a widow who has never worked, has no marketable skills and no job experience, so her options are limited. Desperate, she applies as a hostess at an adult entertainment dive, only to learn that the job is far more hands-on than she imagined! The demands of her new lifestyle slowly infiltrate into her private life, and her son wants to know where she is getting all the money to help his son. He follows her to work and learns her secret, demanding she stop and wishing his son was dead rather than his mother working that job. Maggie refuses to let her grandson die, despite the consequences.
