Enable Bluetooth Connectivity for Certain HP Printers
Certain printer models from HP require a bluetooth dongle in order to activate wireless printing. While not providing Wi-Fi print capability (nor scanning via Bluetooth—at least on OS X), this HP "official" bluetooth dongle does the job of enabling my HP Photosmart C5550 All-in-one printer with wireless printing capability, which is very convenient for my small apartment.
If your printer has a "Bluetooth" menu item in its system configuration, yet selecting it doesn't bring up a menu, and takes you back to the main menu, you'll be required to purchase one of these bluetooth dongles and place it in the USB port on your printer. The downside is that this process necessarily uses up a USB "rectangle" port on the printer; if your printer has only one—as mine does—you'll be required to swap out the Bluetooth connectivity when printing from USB sticks.
