fast accurate reading
I use only forehead mode, very comfortable, i don't use 3 points but only one, usually 2-3 times to make sure measurement was done properly only slight variations occur, probably due to bad placement of thermometer. the toddler (1.5 years) likes it and doesn't oppose it which was a large problem with other thermometers. even possible to measure his temp while he sleeps without waking him up. i store it on the diaper changing table and use it once a day so he's used to it and it really takes 1 second. if temp is in normal range the light is green, if its high the back-light turns red. it's also comfortable for measuring room temp - just one click, i have another thermometer in the toddlers room and results are very close (depending on the place the measurement was taken). the product is also for ear temperature but i don't use it, but switching between forehead and ear is extremely easy.

Love the confidence it gives when trying to decide if you need to see a doctor.
Great way to monitor your condition when you have a fever. With a little practice I got fairly consistent readings when swiping from one direction, then duplicating procedures in the opposite direction. They don't mention this redundant step, but it helps verify if the first reading was accurate. I did the same duplication for both ears also, when using ear thermal readings. It's a little trickier in the ear, but it's supposed to be more accurate. Just remember if the readings from both sides don't match, one of the readings is probably incorrect, especially on the forehead. I think it might be possible to have a bad earache on one side and get different readings, but I'm no doctor, so you might wanna check that theory with a professional.

Not reliable
Very unreliable temp readings (I'm a medical professional) with this device. I check three times on the same patient with the same exact procedure and get readings from 98.2 all the way to 100.5. Not reliable and therefore worthless. Very disappointed. I could have bought 8 oral digital thermometers for the high price of this gadget, which now lives in a drawer.

Better than ever
Great little item, works both on forehead and ear very fast results so much nicer not to have to hold something under the tong for 30 to 60 seconds.

Good for the price!
Seems slightly inaccurate as I get multiple different readings doing the same thing, but is within the ballpark overall and is much better than my previous oral thermometer.

Does not work.
This forehead thermometer does not work. read the instructions 3 times, and didn't get even a close reading. Had my RN wife take it with her to the hospital to get a second opinion. docs and coworkers tried it in comparison to their equipment and said it was garbage.
