UNCLE: A great play off of 007
While I am still testing the disc, I have been watching this TV classic and love it. I remember this TV classic when I was but a lad of 9 years old. Great fun watching. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is a cross between James West of the Wild, Wild West and England's 007! Love UNCLE's gadgets. Mine are long gone now...but I as a lad had some of their attache case stuff. Great trip down memory lane.
Great trip down memory lane. The cars, clothes and technology all take you back to a simpler time. Those of us "old timers" remember many of the guest villains. Good old fashion fun. The DVD set is high quality, well packaged and plays flawlessly (at least thru most of season 2). I haven't made it through all discs yet! Stuck in the past
Reliving the past... Folks new to the series may be a bit disappointed. Special effects are minimal, technology seems old. It's an old standard screen aspect show. Initial episodes are black and white. But the episodes are fairly well thought out, there's a great assortment of guest stars, direction is first class, with the names of now well known directors in the credits. The Man from Uncle
Well, I'm stuck in the 60's and 70's and having the Man from Uncle complete series is a must. What great acting for Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. They both seem to gel together and there is one action packed episode after the other. They are constantly trying to crush their enemy the "Thrush" and it is always good to see good prevail over evil. Nothing on today's television compares to an series like this. Great Television series of the 60's and 70's since McCallum and Vaughn came back and did follow-up movies based off of the television series. Great movies, too. You can't go wrong buying this series. The original "James Bond" TV series
What a great spy series based on James Bond. Ian Fleming , the writer of the James Bond films, provided direction on this series. So you know it's good! Plus, I love seeing all the old vintage 60's muscle and passenger cars/trucks they used. You will truly be entertained by Napoleon Solo & Illya Kuryakin. Leo G. Napoleon Solo is awesome!
I’m in my late 60’s and I watched this show every week when it first came out. I am amazed how crisp and clear the video is. Looks like they just recorded it. I’m in the first season and it’s black and white so that’s to be expected but the quality is fantastic for a TV show this old. Personally,they made better shows back in the 60’s than today. Man from U.N.C.L.E. TV series box set
