Better than a regular P1109 lock
However not many places can copy these keys. Only 2 out of 11 in my area could and cost was £12 compared to £2.50-3.00 for regular key. Used on a tenanted flat. Perfect for that. Won't stop anyone kicking your door in if they really want to get in.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

easy replacement
Easy replacement for a 40 year old Yale cylinder. only issue i had was getting the operating arm length but bit of cutting and adjusting sorted , now works smoothly. Don't know about long term but two weeks good so far.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Yale cylinder lock , four key.
This lock replaced perfectly an existing but older cylinder Yale lock. In the event, to save time I used the old securing bolts that usually have to be cut to accommodate different door thickness. The parts are completely compatible. You get four keys which is a good deal because these are side profile keys not edge profile like the old days. Having new keys cut might prove expensive. The key hole slot is horizontal when fitted and the keys are symmetrically reversible, it doesn't matter which way you insert it, it still operates the lock. The lock is easy to operate and compatible with double lock latches. So in summary I can't find much fault with this over a traditional Yale lock, the security may be slightly greater due to the novelty of key design.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Good security lock by Yale
I sometimes purchase locks to pick them as a hobby (Locksport). This lock was quite well made as you would expect from Yale. It did contain security pins to make it more difficult to pick open. I did get it open after 3 to 4 minutes of picking and it did put up a reasonable fight. Overall this lock does definitely qualify as a security lock and unlike some locks it does contain security pins in the lock making it a true security lock.
