Quality unit with great performance.
The quality is great. Solid feel to the entire unit. The button is big and feels precise when you push it. It doesn't feel cheap. I did a DIY installation. The instruction were easy and complete and the set up went very well. A small, but an informative video is available to ensure installation goes without mistakes. Make sure you have plenty of Wi-Fi signal. I added a range extender to my Wi-Fi to ensure I had a good signal to my Doorbell Pro. The video and still pictures are clear and the night vision works very well. The phone app is easy to use. Detection areas can be custom adjusted to eliminate false alerts. An exceptional, feature packed video doorbell
Awesome user experience setting up the motion zones. The device comes with four face plates (as described), but it also comes with wedges to angle the camera toward wherever you like. It is very responsive, and sends notifications immediately. The image is very clear with exceptional quality. It is true HD, to be sure. The motion sensor is very sensitive, picking up motion from approximately 50 feet away, and the live video is crisp and clear. some features work great others not so good
Cons- Two way talk is muffled and hard to understand the person that you are talking to. takes a little while for the picture to show up on your phone , on my phone approx. 5 seconds for picture to become clear. pros- motion detector works great, after the picture becomes clear great video. Takes some tweaking, but eventually worked as expected
I did a lot of research before buying the Ring Video Doorbell Pro. I knew was I was getting into, how it works, how to install it, and what people were saying about it before I bought it. Having done my research, the installation was pretty straightforward if you have some basic electrician skills. I had to upgrade my 35-year-old doorbell transformer in order to have enough power to run the Ring Pro. To get the motion sensing to work properly, I had to set the sensing area to just the area of my porch where I expected visitors to the home (avoiding the street and sidewalk), and maxed out the motion detection sensitivity. Yes, I get an alert whenever a cat or squirrel crosses my porch (see photos), but since I turn off my phone at night, it's not a nuisance. Ring does a poor job of explaining how their "Cloud storage" Protect plan works, but I figured it out eventually. I think the video doorbell will be most handy for being alerted of package deliveries (nobody seems to want to ring the doorbell these days). The idea that I can be thousands of miles from my home and see who or what is on my front porch and talk interactively with visitors (wanted or unwanted) is pretty cool.

Great features, some issue with existing doorbell
The benefits of this product far outweigh the minor issues we had with the installation. Mounting it and connecting wires was very easy. Our existing doorbell, which was a digital chime type, didn't like the Ring door bell signal and resulted in some very bizarre sounds. There is a diode that gets connected to the doorbell itself, but it didn't resolve the issue. We decided that we liked the Ring features more than the digital chime doorbell, so we simply bought a new mechanical doorbell which worked perfectly.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Decent product
Not 100% the best, but decent enough for what I need. It allows you to monitor who comes to the door. You must subscribe to the video recording/playback feature for $3/month otherwise you won’t be able to review your clips. Sometimes it is a little too sensitive even after adjusting motion settings. 2-3 seconds delay for live view, but that seems average. Easy install. You only need your own drill, kit includes everything else.

Close but no cigar!
Features are good. However, set up and settings are confusing. Sensitivity settings are difficult to get right. Motion zones are also confusing and difficult to adjust properly. Great product with refined software features!

Awesome product with great instructions
Awesome product, works exactly as advertised and installation is made extremely simple with all tools and adaptors you would possibly need. The product works great and the kit comes with everything you need to install it, including the existing doorbell chime transformer power adapter. This part is needed if your existing power supply from the doorbell chime transformer is not providing the correct voltage.
