A favorite jazz book of mine.
Thoroughly enjoy!!! Most of the instructions/hints are written in Japanese but if you can read tab, the music is easy to follow, well written and relatively easy to play. I'm so glad I bought it. It has become my daily practice book. A young lady plays many of the tunes on youtube and the book comes with a cd. If you like playing fingerstyle jazz buy this book.

Even if you don't speak Japanese: amazing value for money
This is a fantastic tablature book for ukulele jazz. The arrangements are beautiful and give very much insight into how to play melody and chords, and they are easy mostly not too intimidating -- there are a lot of nifty little tricks that make you sound like a pro while being much easier to play than people would think. The selection of songs differs extremely from typical fakebooks by the big companies: Normally I would expect a small fraction of the songs to be the ones I REALLY want to play, a third of the songs I'd say I've at least heard and know somehow and the rest just makes the book thicker and justifies the high price. THIS one, however, has 29 songs and it's just all hits, no nonsense! Don't be intimidated by this being Japanese. Mayve you won't understand the additional explanations of certain playing techniques (I don't). But you'll understand thebtablature and will probably have great fun!

ukulele jazz
I ordered this book from japan I live in England it came in about a week by airmail. The arrangements are fairly simple but sound great. The cd that came with the book is excellent you can listen to a song being played and hear all the nuances as he plays. If you have the time to sit and learn each section slowly. Then you will soon be playing songs to a great standard. I know at £30 odd pounds it seems expensive but I think it is worth every penny.

Exactly what you hear either Lami Jeong or the author playing on YouTube. Excellent.
This is a great book with the music arranged for standard tuning on the ukulele, not the low G tuning. It has both the notes and tabulature and the titles are in English but please be aware that everything is written in Japanese. This is probably not a book for beginners but having said that, with enough practice even a beginner may be able to handle the pieces. Learn a couple of pieces and you will realise that he uses a lot of the same chords in all of the pieces. I recommend the book to anyone who likes his arrangements and is willing to do a little practise.

Difficult for beginners, but something to work towards.
Just started learning Tab, and how to read music, this is going to be a difficult one to begin with, and the Japanese text not helpful... Google translate works a bit with that tho. However, with a bit of time and effort it's beginning to sound a bit like the recordings. Nicely arranged.

Pricey but worth it
CD is at good speed to learn from. Book is mostly very clear, but some stuff in Japanese. Not for a beginner but excellent to aspire to.

Ukulele jazz is great
Book is written in Japanese but the tabs and CD make it easy to follow and learn great jazz songs.

Good range of music with CD really helping the playing
Written in Japanese...so difficult to take fully advantage of the text. But mostly easy to understand.
