Very simple set up. The temperature and times were spot on. First use was with a 14 pound turnkey and it came out great! The parts do come apart for clean up, some a little large, but cleaned up good. Definitely glad we made this purchase.
Cooked three whole chickens for the trial run. Cooked one at a time but i feel like I could have fit two in there if I wanted.
6 minutes per pound and it was done. Very moist meat and crisp skin.
Oil heated up in about 35 minutes. Super easy to clean afterwards and the oil drain made it very quick.
I cooked it outdoors to see how it would go but would feel comfortable enough to use it inside if I wanted.
Next attempt will be a shrimp boil. I always use the big propane burner and pot but this should make cooking a breeze with less of a mess.
If you are thinking about it, buy it. I doubt you will be sorry.
i like the fryer, meat turns out great. clean up is messy! but you have give a little to take alot. i take alot of meat to the fryer and it is always great.
