Sony HDR-CX240
This is a great camera. I bought it for low light because I wanted to get video of bands playing local clubs. It works great for that, although like most camcorders the sound pressure level gets too high for it and it gets some distortion. Still way better than most smart phones. My only gripe is the Sony software makes it hard to download the high resolution videos, you have to use their software to edit. A little smaller than a pop can. Which may be an issue for people with large hands, or long fingers as when the camera is in the crotch of the thumb reaching the record and zoom buttons might be a slight challenge. The protective lens cover is manual so one needs to remember to close it after use. The camera is turned on and off by opening and closing the monitor so you can't set it up and turn off the monitor to extend the battery life. If that's important, you'll need a unit with a viewfinder; they can usually be operated without using the monitor. Comes with a 1240 mAh battery which lasts over 2 hours. Great camcorder, great value!
I couldn't believe how small and light this camcorder was when I received it. It's easy to use, although I found the video import software a bit cumbersome. I find it much easier to remove the memory card from the camera, then pop it into my computer and drag and drop the files from there. The image quality is pretty good. Slight problem
I usd the camera and it work really well. The picture was very good. The only thing was navigating through the different things you can do with the camera ie playback etc.I think this may be to the lack of use and forgetting the process and the fear of errase what I just recorded. Easy and light weight

Great video quality and easy to learn
The seller is amazing; he sent the Sony Camcorder IN TWO DAYS. I've owned this camera before so I know the video quality would be amazing. When you take time to figure out the features on the interface, the camcorder has, you will find its super easy to learn. You DO have to BUY YOUR OWN MEMORY CARD, I suggest San Disk Micro chip 32gb (I bought mine from Best Buy) There is no internal memory so you NEED this micro chip. It comes with a NP-BX1 X Type battery, I suggest you buy an extra one to save frustration of running out the battery and forgetting to recharge when you need the camera ASAP. The only down side to the camera is it has no external mic jack but the sound quality in my opinion is amazing and you don't need it. Lightweight, easy to use and temperature extremes resilient
Great camera, second one I have bought off of Ebay. I use it to film High School Football in Northern New Jersey, and we swear by it. awesome light and full HD
awesome camcorder , small , light and easy to pack for trips , not bulky , full HD and connects easy to T.V through HDMI . Easy to turn off and on just open the lcd screen to to turn on and off . picks up audio very well too and has a nice optical zoom . takes a nice still picture as well . all the nav buttons are on the lcd screen side . had to figure out the charging though , the charger is tucked into the hand strap , the charger is also the sync cable to sync to pc . very happy with this camcorder and the price was right . no complaints .Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Best all around shooter without breaking the bank!
Best camcorder I've owned at this price point. As a casual camcorder, can't ask for more for light and occasional use. Excellent as an all around shooter for documenting both work and personal events without breaking the bank. Bought a 64gb micro sd card and that is now a significant improvement over my last jvc camcorder which had 30gb hard drive storage which was not even HD. Amazing how tech lowers cost over the years. Good lightweight camera
Has great quality outdoors. Inside needs good light. Bought it for a backpack camera so I could get good quality video when hiking. It matches that need. Very few bells and whistles as the price denotes but a great deal considering the low price. If you need a basic lightweight camera. It is the choice.
