Excellent value, amazing content.
I bought this book because I do a lot of Scottish photography and wanted to see just how many places I was missing, this book has given me many more sites to visit, a lot of which I had no idea about. The author has done a very good job of seeking out photogenic places that are off the beaten track and which not many people know about, unfortunately, that will not now be the case and you may find some places pretty busy. The book is packed with very good photographs and I must say Dougie is no mean force behind the camera, I am very impressed. I am off to Skye and the north highlands next week, so I have a list from the book to try out. If you shop around you can get some good discounts on the price, I got my copy for £19.00 and am very happy with it. I would recommend this book to anyone, even if it is bought just as a "coffee table" book.

The essence of taking good photos besides the kit is Planning and Preparation. Dont waste time driving around at the wrong location and at the wrong time of day. Find it and nail it with all the comprehensive and interesting information in this book. These well presented pages give you descriptions, viewpoints, map and access details along with photographs and best times. Everything you could possibly need on so many beautiful locations all over Scotland including the islands. Remember to take the book, all your kit and the right weather gear. A lovely book on Scotland
Its an amazing book, with some great photography and details on where and when the photographs were taken, and with details on the camera equipment used for each photograph. I love the information on how to arrive at the locations as well. So Handy
The more you read through this book, the more you realise that it is totally written with the photographer in mind. From the average sunrise sunset times and directions , to the composition ideas and focal settings it is packed full of useful information and that's before you get to the plethora of locations.
