A 16-bit classic returns with 3D graphics, new game mechanics, new dungeons, and a new realm in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Set six generations after the events of A Link to the Past, A Link Between Worlds once again puts players in charge of the young hero Link as he explores the kingdom of Hyrule and attempts to rescue Princess Zelda from Yuga, an evil wizard who wants to plunge the land into darkness. As always, the game offers a mix of action and adventure, letting gamers visit towns, explore the wilderness, solve puzzles, and battle foes in dungeons.<br><br>In A Link to the Past players were able to travel to a more dangerous and troubled version of Hyrule known as the Dark World, but in A Link Between Worlds the Dark World has been replaced by the parallel realm of Lorule, whose Princess Hilda is also caught in Yuga's scheme. Gamers travel between the two worlds by making use of Link's new wall-merging ability, which lets him transform into a 2D painting to temporarily move along walls, solve puzzles, and slip through cracks. Unlike nearly every other game in the series, A Link Between Worlds features non-linear advancement, meaning players can explore the dungeons in any order they please, provided they have enough rupees to rent the necessary items from Ravio the shopkeeper.<br><br><! -- 3DS -- >Product Identifiers

Maybe the best Zelda game to date
My bias comes from a good place - I played the original Link to the Past on the SNES when I was 13 and didn't know how much I loved it at the time. Over the years, I played ALTTP several times over, on Game Boy Advance and emulators. But A Link Between Worlds is both a tribute to A Link to the Past and a reimagining of the original. It is a near-perfect game, getting rid of almost all the things in A Link to the Past that you didn't like but also adding a whole different story in a familiar world. If you have played and loved A Link to the Past, you will LOVE A Link Between Worlds. It's fast-paced but open, and it has great graphics and gameplay. There are new items, new puzzles, new characters, all in the familiar world of A Link to the Past. Best 2D Zelda
A Link Between worlds is unexpectedly the best 2D Zelda. I like lttp but I feel like other zeldas do what it does better, it’s not my favorite that’s all. I loved links awakening, so it was hard to decide. But this is such a masterpiece. Narrative, gameplay, the rental system. I love how Ravio uses the rabbit reference from Lttp cleverly, it feels so natural. I like the idea of renting weapons, even if I just grind rupees and buy them anyway. The mechanics of the rentals, lorule, and painting link are some of the best in the series. This is hands down an AWESOME game! MUST-HAVE for Zelda fans! This game is ADDICTING! A terrific remake of one of the best Zelda games ever.
I bought this when it first came out a few years ago and had a itch for playing this again considering I just rushed through the game and didn't spend any time collecting extra heart containers and Maimai. Definitely one of my top games for the 3DS, especially since Zelda on the SNES was one of my favorite ones. Great game
This is an amazing remake for new and old fans alike. It has an amazing, compelling story, interesting characters, and great mechanics, all the while putting a cool twist on the original. Link between worlds, simply my favorite game!
I have Acorina of Time, Majoras Mask, Triforce Heros, and Out of all these, my favorite game play style is this game. Link between Worlds reminds me of "Link to the Past" for Super Nintendo. Updated graphics in 3D, portable, and new story line!!!! I love, love, love this game!! I beat it, and it's not boring where I'm done playing it. I restart and play again. Just an all around great game. Cute characters you can't help but fall in love with. The puzzles to get the treasure chest challenges. The stradigies to get the keys to get to the bosses, to defeating them. So much fun!!!! If you want great playing style of the old genera, but with better graphics....this Zelda/ Link game is for you!! You won't be disappointed. What a game
I will start off my saying this is one the best games I've ever played. I am a hardcore gamer. My hobbies include working out and playing video games. 3ds has got to be one of the most worthwhile consoles to ever exist because of titles like this. I was really pretty surprised by it. Great First Zelda Game For Me
I got this item in pristine condition inside of a plastic cover with the original unopened wrapping still on it. I have only begun to play this game and I feel very immersed in it. Zelda fan for life.
I am a bit partial to the Zelda franchise. The adventure and puzzle solving game play makes for good relaxing play. While the sword play n boss fights provide the needed action to keep me playing. Never too hard but just enough to make you think and pull your hair ocasionally. Good story to keep you entertained and wanting more.
