Awesome mic for vocals!
This mic was highly recommended by my Sweetwater salesman even though I was shopping for a more expensive microphone. After reading reviews of the mic online, I decided to give it a try. I was floored by the sound and ended up using this mic exclusively for lead vocals on the last album I recorded which featured mostly female lead vocals in a mixed jazz genre (traditional, swing, Brazilian, Latin, and pop, etc.). There is a clarity and presence that is very musical and silky and just makes vocals stand out! The tracks have been very easy to mix with very little EQ (mostly low end roll-off). This was the first time a final mix of mine had no EQ at all on the background vocals using this mic. The quality for this price just can't be beat! Excellent Mic
I considered this mic after doing research on it. Was looking for a new mic after realizing my Blue Bluebird was making my particular vocals too muddy. Adding a preamp + compressor to the chain made this even more apparent. Just today i did a shoutout between the Bluebird and the Lauten LA220 and the difference was night and day. I have a bassy voice which is not flattering on the Bluebird due to its frequency response. It was however not an issue whatsoever on the LA220. This will make getting a good signal at source an easier process, as well as saving me work & time come mix time. Extremely happy with my purchase. The Bluebird has served me well through the last 5 years but it's time to let this bird go free to a new owner. Considering also that the LA220 is $50 dollars cheaper brand new compared to the Bluebird (i got mine cheaper through an excellent deal on Ebay), this is a no-brainer for someone who has a T.I. type of voice/tone and is looking for a mic to compliment that.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Very happy with this mic
This mic has been great for tracking vocals, guitars, and other strived instruments. I have several condenser mics from different manufacturers, all in and around the same price range.this one really has given me the best sounds so far. I would’ve liked to have a selectable pick up pattern as opposed to just cardiod but I have other mics that have those features. Quality condenser mics
I bought 2 to pair with 2-57's to mic my guitar rig. They are comparable to mics priced over $1000 and it just so happens they are great for vocals, bass, cello and acoustic guitar as well.
