“Swallow your fear!”
Of course it begins with crows. Although they’ve never stated why crows appear to be the Creeper’s only entourage. This entry is supposed to slip between the first film and the second, so technically it’s Jeepers Creepers 1 ½. Ad nauseam, they mention the twenty-three rule. The stalking remains the same. This time we learn why it’s never safe to run in single file. The real star of the piece is the Creeper’s van, filled with bodies and booby traps. There’s a tease of sort in that two of the characters “learn” who or what the Creeper is―and they don’t tell us. So if there’s not a fourth installment, we’ll never know. Although if there is a fourth movie I can’t imagine where they plan on wedging it in, unless they do a prequel instead.
It is a bit of a letdown, I can’t deny that. But I liked it just the same. The acting is subpar, although the horse was quite good, the bunny too. Meg Foster did the best she could with what they gave her. The dialog is abysmal. “The point is to stay alive.” To get sniffed and not snuffed.
