Great for micing a drumset
I got this to mic my drumset along with some Audix mics as a DAW interface. After some learning with Cubase (LE is included if bought new, but I use Pro) I got it running great. You can record 8 mics to 8 mono tracks at 96khz 24 bit. My main issue is that I had the Sub Output routed through my headphone out. If you can't seem to keep the drums from being monitored through your headphones while recording, make sure nothing is being routed to the headphones when connected to your computer. The preamps in it are just a turn of the dial on the front, and they make the drum mics sound fantastic.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Excellent Service.
I bought the recorder on Monday and on Wednesday afternoon it was on my doorstep. I haven’t had a chance to use the one I bought, but I have used the zoom f8 and I strongly recommend for people getting into sound right now or professionals looking for a backup recorder. More than a step up from hand-held recorders
I have owned quite a few hand held recorders and basically they are pretty much all the same with exception to Sony PCM-D50 and the Nagra SD which are basically shaped by their microphones, and they are priced accordingly. The Sony has been replaced by the PCM-D100 which is even clearer sounding. The Zoom F8 is quite a jump from sub $500 4 & 6 channel recorders in that the array of high end professional options are considerable. There are a lot of options in this machine, routing, file formatting dual cards etc etc,. In terms of sound, well it depends on your level of expectation and the microphones you have. Put it this way the Zoom F8 gives you the opportunity to hear your microphones at the quality level they were made to. Good mics sound like broadcast quality. Im not tech oriented, I am a hobby field recordist with a bunch of high end microphones and I like to record social, nature & industrial sounds using up 8 mic's at a time.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
