Faster than modern ULV i7 chips for much less money!
This is a wonderful CPU for an old ThinkPad T440p-- its speed rivals modern i7 processors (and is even faster, in some cases!) but lacks the ability to sip power and thus has inferior battery life when compared to newer chips. Still, though, for a laptop which is docked and/or powered most of the time, this is a no-brainer upgrade, especially when you can get it for $69 like I did. Check out PassMark CPU benchmarks to see how fast this chip is; its single-threaded performance is very similar to that of my brand new MacBook Pro's i7 chip! Not only that, but it's quad-core too. Great CPU at a great price! Big improvement over the i5 and allows use of more RAM on my Dell M6800
If you have computer building experience, it is a pretty easy install -- just get the service manual and follow it carefully. This is not for the newbie, but is also not really difficult. Use a reasonable amount of good thermal compound and this 47W TDP will run the same temp as the 37W you replace since Dell used way too much on both the CPU and NVIDIA GPU.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Amazing CPU

Best price I found
Not a pin out of place. Works as expected. Packaging was a little questionable. Only protection was a bubble wrap, no exterior case. It arrived in working order but a case can be made against just bubble wrap packaging for such a delicate item. Communication was non-existent as my one message was never replied to but I took a chance on a purchase based on the ample reviews prior to me. A good value laptop i7 processor

i7-4810MQ: Good Upgrade from i7-4600M
Easy drop in upgrade for a Lenovo T440p. Noticeable performance improvement over an i7-4600M in all workloads. Easily took a -50mV core voltage drop and reduced idle temps 5C (60C to 55C) in 27C ambient.
