Do You NEED a rangefinder?
I've hunted for years without a rangefinder and finally bought the Sig this year before heading down to southern Arkansas to hunt a clearcut pine forest. It has made me rethink all the shots I've missed over the years. It began with sighting in my rifle. 100 yards isn't 79 yards paced off over uneven ground. First big eye opener. Then hunting from stands along the tree line bordering the harvested clear cut and setting reference points was also revealing. The Sig with the active scanning and fast response time allowed me to "map" my kill zones very quickly and worked very well in predawn and dusk conditions as well as full daylight. During the week I also hunted blinds surrounded in thick woods. The quick response time and active scanning was very impressive. The Sig allowed me to "map" the kill windows between thick trees near and far on natural reflective surfaces (not many billboards or road signs in the deep woods) I was also worried about the optics foggy up as I was hunting in wet and foggy forty degree weather. There was not a need to acclimate the rangefinder in those conditions. I haven't used it in colder weather but anticipate flawless performance regardless. Seemed kind of pricey, but like my Sig pistols, you get what you pay for. I was impressed enough that I bought one for my 84 year old father who after of lifetime of hunting without a rangefinder feels the Sig is a welcome addition to his gear. As a footnote: with the clearcut I was able to range long distance 600-800 yards tree line to tree line but cannot attest to the accuracy as I was not up to the task of verifying accuracy over that much broken ground covered with pine branches. Besides, I'm not one to take shots much over 300 yards with a deer rifle. It does have me curious enough to take it to the long range with a different weapon though. The Sig has definitely made me rethink wether I needed a good rangefinder all along.

Sig Sauer Kilo 2000
I wanted a range finder that would get me out at least a mile for my long range shooting. And after doing some research on YouTube and Amazon the Sig Sauer Kilo 2000 was the best bang for the buck for my needs under $400. The Kilo 2000 is very compact and easy to use, I went out to a new development under construction to test various ranges in the HyperScan mode and was amazed at how fast and consistent it ranged. Only con is that the Kilo 2000 doesn't have a tripod screw at the bottom, so you need to purchase an overpriced Sig or LRI tripod adapter separately (both cost around $75). But overall, I'm very pleased and highly recommend if your looking for a quality range finder to get you out 2000 yards for under $400.

Excellent product with the right features!!!
I was in bad need on a new laser rangefinder as a LE Precision Rifle Instructor and a buddy from the RCMP showed me his Kilo 2000. I was impressed, it was picking up small targets at over 1000 yards with ease and still worked as close as 5 yards. I had to have one. On a trip to the Grand Canyon I took it on a hike below the rim. I ranged everything I could and got readings 1900+ yards in less than a second, now even more impressed. The LOS (line of sight) and AMR (angle modified range- horizontal range) features work accurately. The LED readout is easy to see even in bright sunlight, something I have complained about with other units. Being about the size of a small digital camera and the same weight it fits my need perfectly. As for negatives I have not yet found any. Excellent product!!!!

So far so good
Havent gotten to take it hunting yet. November is still a ways away. However, just running around town lazing stuff and this thing is as advertised. Incredibly small and light weight yet very powerful. I does of course do better in clear air. A slight haze at long range (like 600+) can make it harder to get a reading. However, a steady hand or good tripod will mostly counteract this. Given how small it is, Its hard to hold still for the really long ranges. But I expected that. Easy work arounds for it. More important for it be to small for active hunters like me where 10 miles of hiking a day is the min. Its incredibly simple to use and the ranges come back almost immediately. Critical when in the field. This unit seems to give far better performance than comparative models in this price range and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Best rangefinder
I compared with all the top brands. Nikon,Leupold,vortex,leica and bushnell. They were all good but this sign kilo 2000 is amazing.

Sig Rangefinder
This is a very good rangefinder. I have not had an opportunity to use it on game yet but I have taken it out in the field. It is easy to use it's easy to keep track of a moving target overall I really like it.

best value purchase ever
This range finder is far and away better than the range finders costing 3 times its cost. The optics are crystal clear - it ranges to distances far better than any other and its speed is instantaneous and its initial quality is excellent and its small size is perfect. Now if I can keep from loosing it, it has the potential to be the best purchase I have ever made. At its price I can loose a couple of them and still be ahead.

Got a bad one!
I received my Sig Sauer Kilo 2000 with much anticipation. I have been using a Nikon rangefinder for years and it has worked without fail. The only drawback is the Nikon will only range to about 500 yards and I need more. I ordered the Sig hoping to get trees to at least 1200 and deer/elk sized game to 800. So far, it struggles to read trees at anything over 650-700 yards... even large masses of trees. I plan to call Sig when I get time and see what they will do for me. I have read, although they honor their warranties, that it takes months to get repairs or replacements.

Great Deal
I got a great product for a great price with great service ! It was shipped promptly, and I received it a few days later. It works very well. I ranged a building at 2006 yards and verified it. Then I ranged a much smaller target/object as far as 3070 yards, and verified the actual distance. The price is right, and it works great !

Sig Sauer Kilo range finder
The Sig Sauer Kilo ranges easily on most objects to 1000 meters and much further on larger reflective objects. It is easy to use and very well made. Its optics are sharp and clear.
