Tube amps come alive with the VINTAGE 30 speaker
Not a good choice for a warm amp without good high frequencies ! My Jet City 2212c amp has a bright attack using a Legend 1258 speaker and even brighter with the stock custom Eminence speaker but this SPEAKER fixed the harsh attack and added nice harmonics I did not hear before from this amp ! I had my eyes opened when I tested the Jet City amp with the vintage 30 that came in my BadCat Cougar 5watt tube combo , wow what a difference ! This amp gets mediocre reviews with the stock speaker , not mediocre anymore and can cut up the treble or presents control for more of a Vox top boost amp tones ! It gets overdriven to clean like Tom Petty tones now ! Careful choosing a Cream back Celestion the EQ on my G12 65M cuts midrange noticeably which I did not like but it sure sounds good too ! A classic tone.
A speaker change cannot make a Twin sound like 100 watt stack of Marshalls, but match this speaker (broken in) to the right amp, and you will recognize the result. What more can you say, it's celestion
Always consistent with their current production . I prefer the Mesa Vintage 30 version and Marshall version a bit more but the made in China will get the job done! Besides, they're not new to the game any more and their QC is way beyond what it used to be.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great guitar speaker

Best guitar speaker for the money

Definitely a good all around speaker. It has a good balance and is fairly versatile. It is not a pristine clean sounding speaker, so if you are looking for that, you may want something else. Pretty much what you think of as the Marshall sound.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

My favorite speaker.
And it has been for many years. I'm a 68 year old lead guitarist and it's the only one that gives me both the definition and creamy sounds I need. Majestic it is.
Very impressed with these speakers. I can detect the subtle nuances and overtones that this legendary model is known for. Of course some may not agree but my review and my opinion is they are a vanguard for a reason. But no matter your tastes it's still a huge step up. Very good speaker
