Not what you think...
Well, received quick enough. Quite simply doesn't do what you need which is plug into the car and see whats up with your steed. There is a reason that Ross tech charge what they do and it's probably because eventually everyone who really needs to diagnose the codes buys their kit. This literally did nothing at all. Other than install some software which is free anyway I couldn't get past the hardware test (Port Status:Ok, Interface:Not Found!) so really a waste of £7. Could have been great, really just a waste of time and money. Thought so but worth a punt. Will be buying the grown up one now. Hopefully you will too.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Perfectly functional for the price.
Having read many mixed reviews I thought I'd have my 10 pence worth. Yes it's not a fully functional vag-com. What do you expect for this kind of money ?! Installation was a bit of a faf if your not very computer literate but I had no trouble finding work arounds on the forums etc. Diagnosed my egr valve problem and enabled me to reset the fault code thus removing the warning light. Decent item. Inexpensive and very useful for the amateur mechanic
Seems to be well constructed. The included software ran with no issues on a Windows XP laptop. The instructions for installation are a bit basic but easy to follow. I was able to connect to my VW very easily and read error codes to diagnose a problem with the soft top roof not operating. This saved me hours by showing me where the problem lay and a great deal of money by being able to fix it myself. Vag Com KKL Cable diagnostic Software
Good item installed the software from the cd provided then installed the free drivers from Ross tech website and programmed this interface in cam1 channel and it works, this interface also works on VCDS lite and vag com software and managed to finally connect with my Golf MK4 and read the ABS fault code. Its cheap but looks good quality and works if properly installed and is also suitable for ohydę programs like vw tool and the cud also included a Fiat group diagnostic program. For this price i recommend.

Cheap and did the job easily
This was very good value. I used it to successfully reset the AirBag light from my Audi TT Mk1. It was all very easy, worked first time and from start to finish took 5 minutes. Just the job!
Wanted a cheap way of checking for fault codes as garage wanted £25 each time. Due to varied reviews wasn't sure if this cheap cable would work but was suprised how easy it was to connect to laptop/van and download VCDS lite and hey presto! A bit of fiddling with ports required but found easy guide on line to follow. Would recommend. Good little buy great for DIY Mechanic.
Worked Perfectly combined with the Nissan data-scan software and correct drivers running windows 10 on an intel chipset, Used with my Nissan 350z as engine Management light came on and wasn't running right turned out it was an o2 sensors allowing me to do further diagnostics (computer was right :) ). Diagnosed and fixed problem in no time :) also very handy if you want to check all the technical parameters find this very useful when doing services on my car as a trained electrical and mechanical engineer can say this works fine, if you know what you're doing and a diy mechanic it's a great supplement to spending a fortune on expensive equipment.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Works perfectly
Bought this to try and activate automatic windows from the keyfob on my Passat B5.5 2003. Making sure I installed the drivers that came with it on a mini cd first and checking COM Port Number before use, it worked first time without any problems. Works not only with VCDS-Lite but also other available software. Works well.
Bought this after one of my doors thought it was open when it was closed so needed to know which door was being silly. Took a while to find where the live readings from the doors are in the program, but found them by accident after an hour or so. For reference, the doors are in Electonics I, /cent. elec / measuring blocks / 005. Murphys law, the problem seemed to fix itself before I could get a read on which door it was, but I now have the diagnostic tool handy if it returns. Works in a limited capacity, at this price don't have high expectations
I read the mixed reviews and decided to give it a punt at the price. I was able to configure the port on my old xp laptop after googling. It connected ok to my 2002 Beetle. I wasn't as lucky as one other reviewer who was able to reset their airbag light, I need the registered vcds software which is $90 I think. But it did give me an error code which pointed to the drivers seat (a common VW problem) so I know where to investigate.
