trainer tracker collars
This combo does exactly what I want it to do. The screen is a little small on the maps, if you are running several dogs but other than that it works great. Had my beagles running a deer 600 yards out and stopped them on a dime with this system. I wish I had known there are smaller collars as these are a tag big for my beagles. My buddy wants one too, now that he has seen how mine works. You can tone or vibrate them and see if they stop or keep going before you shock them, which for me is a last resort. Should never lose a dog with this system.

Garmin makes a good product.
The Garmin Alpha 100 GPS works as advertised. It's fairly intuitive, so if you leave the instructions behind, you should still be able to figure it out from the built in menu. I paired it with the TT15 training collar, watched some videos on using it in training mode and after five minutes, my dog was trained! That was in the backyard. Then I headed into the forest with my dog. My dog responded best to level 6 in the traditional training mode. While tracking my dog, who was now over a mile away, I whistled for my dog to come. I could see on the GPS that my dog was ignoring the whistle. He stopped to listen then continued on, increasing his distance from me. Then I hit the middle training button (continuous) and my dog began closing the distance between us. Within a minute, my dog was back at my side! Upon repeated attempts, I had similar results. This is like having an electronic leash!

Best investment I have made.
I have 2 beagles that like to roam. I also take them hunting. After losing 1 of my dogs about 5 times within a month I purchased the garmin. The wireless fence worked for a while but somehow they figured out how to defeat the system. After using the garmin for a bit I have my dogs tamed. Rarely worry about them leaving the 10 acre property anymore. A little vibration and back home they come. Great product just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

Awesome, but over priced!
The collar is amazing, but the price is ridiculous. Unfortunately, there is nothing out there that can compete with Garmin at the moment. I am very impressed by it's reception. My ranch has about 30 acres of heavy forest and even when my dog is in that heavy cover the reception is good. I can even sit inside my home and get the signal.

Very interesting product.
Just takes a while to get set up but after that it is a great tool. Hunt a lot of properties with timber and tracking my shorthair is now a breeeze

it is very handy with the training collars and all .I also like the fact that you dont have to put batteries in it every other time you hunt because its rechargeable

Refurbished
Like a new one but when I bought this I didn't realize that 1 yr birdseye was included so I bought a subscription so I lost the 1 yr that came with it. I'm sure it said I needed a subscription. It says in the listing would have to purchase birdseye.

Good all around system
Tracks nice and is light to carry. Only thing is I wish screen was a little bigger.
