I would give this little OM a 5 but it needed a little setup out of the box (as most of these imports do. But well worth the effort and expense. I do my own fretwork but a good guitar tech will probably charge about $75 to clean the frets up and lower the bridge saddle a bit. Almost every Recording King I have had needed some fret work. They play OK out of the box but the frets are a little ruff. This one needed the frets leveled and polished and the fret ends cleaned up, they were a little sharp. It now plays and sounds wonderful. I would put it up against a Martin with the same body style anytime. It's loud, warm and woody sounding. The torrefied Adirondack top is the next big thing. It sounds warm and woody like a 40 year old guitar without a lose of volume sometimes experienced with vintage guitars.
