maybe it's my bad luck, but the CO2 leaked on my pistol. but overall very good one. also, blow-back action pistols are more picky, but look cool
the CO2 cartridge leaked a lot. so I could only shoot one mag at best otherwise very cool pistol, you need to check its operation before it's too late to return also velocity in't that great compared to non blow-back but if you want look good with the pistol - that's the one to go one other plus - removable backstrap, 3 sizes are available.. I only saw that in real guns. one really bad thing- to load the mag - is a pain in the neck... very cumbersome..

Excellent quality traing pistol
Very much like the real pistol. The weight is close, the function of all the features is exceptional. The clip heft is very nice and completes the great balance of the pistol. All-in-all this is a very good training pistol and a seriously fun "plinking" gun. I absolutely love it!

Might need a bit of work to get everything perfect
Looks great, an amazing replica to add to my collection. Other than my slide getting stuck further back than it was supposed to that is... Seems not all of my experiences with Umarex are perfect anymore. I doubt many have had this issue, so I would not worry too much. All in all a nice M&P 40 replica, and a sweet BB pistol!

Phenomenal Training Tool
This is a wonderful training tool for defensive shooting, especially when you purchase a few extra mags. Slidelock, tactical and combat reloads are easy to drill and practice with this air gun. With a new baby my range time is very limited, but i can drill 98% of my tactics and skills at home and in my back yard with this air gun and accessories.

Excellent replica. C02 cartridge loads inside magazine. All levers & buttons function and a metal slide with bold markings makes this a worthy purchase. Get one!

A LOT of Pistol for a Little Investment!
The attention to detail and quality are impeccable. The weight and balance is extremely close to the actual M&P 40. The trigger pull, although just a bit long, is extremely smooth lacking the resistance that is found on most semi-auto, blowback BB pistols which reduces accuracy. The two notch and single blade dots make for quick aiming and I could keep shots grouped within two inches at fifteen feet. Another big plus is that this gun doesn't eat through CO2 like other blowbacks. You can easily get four mags through it before it starts dropping off and dying. OK. Now to the complaint. But it's only one. Compressing the spring to load the magazine takes a toll on your finger and nail. The serration on the guide is minute making it extremely difficult to keep a grip on it. Compounding the flaw is that the spring tension is such that when the guide breaks free of your fingernail it has enough force to cause what few BBs that were loaded are forced out of the top of the magazine. Why the mag is not manufactured with a grove to the side to lock the guide in place is beyond me. If you can live with the magazine, which I've learned to do, you'll love this pistol.

I love it.
This is my 5th replica air gun. I also own the real deal MP40 chambered in a 9 mm. It feels like saying when you hold them just a slight difference. The only thing I dislike is the paint scratches very easy but that it's the same for the real as well.

Good but not Great
Its a nice solid gun...but the slide lock got stuck when I cocked the gun back. It took me a while to get it back working. Now its working properly after constantly using it.

Umarex S&W MP40 Blowback Pistol (BB 300fps) CO2
Bought these CO2 BB pistol’s for my wife and I to practice target shooting in our back yard. Looks and feels and is a very good replica of a real S&W firearm. Very pleased. Exceeded my expectations. Very economical way to shoot.
