The Plenue D
Have been a fan of Cowon Players for a while, i have an Cowon X7, and really enjoy the sound quality of that unit with Jet Effect, you can experiment with many different setting in the EQ, as well as customize the sound to your liking. Same goes for the Plenue D, i really like the compact size, easy to use, updated Jet Effect, plus i'm able to play higher resolution music files, mainly flac, as the Cowon X7 is unable to. The only drawback for now is i can't utilize the full capacity of my Sandisk 200gb micro sd card. 128gb is recommended, but i tried the larger card as the other dap's i have recommend 128gb but recognized my 200gb that was for all intents, full, hopefully this can be remedied with firmware updates. For sound quality? it's up to the individual person, i am very happy with mine, as i said many different EQ settings to choose from as well as custom settings. Battery life is pretty much as advertised, It does have headphone out only,no line out, which may discourage some, but i mainly listen through IEM's so not a problem for me. Perfect for 24/192 music.
Everything is perfect. Good sound quality, nice EQ prgram, very easy to use, amazing battery life. Just one thing this os is little bit more slow than other cowon dap line, AK series, fiio x5, ibasso series. But after 2rd firmware update it definitely better than before. Amazing. :)
My one con is a very small one. I wish this had capability to play without headphones, but it lacks speakers on it. This is an easy fix as you can simply grab a bluetooth speaker with an aux cord and use it that way. Cowon has the best sound.
