Still an incredible and powerful CPU
I grabbed one of these brand new for £290. They are really fast CPU's and in the age of annual 'buy this, update that', I'm at a loss to see why kids are upgrading when they really don't need to. Everything issued today, seems to draw much more power consumption and when you're paying the bills, you need to look at what you need, not what your eyes want. I have a i9 9900k CPU, MSI GTX 1660ti OC, Seagate Firecuda 520 M.2's, Aorus Z390 Ultra MOBO, Corsair 750 Platinum PSU and 64gb 3600mhz RAM. I video edit and it works like a charm. My CPU hits about 25-35c and my GPU hits around 30-40c in full task. The odd time for a game, this can handle anything and doesn't turn your home into a sauna. (I have a Be Quiet Dark Pro v.2 case and Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler) While ever people are being ripped off in price, grab some kit that does the job well, rather than trying to keep up with what they're telling you to buy....and save your bank balace and planet by using less electricity.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Still a Top Performer and now Even Better Value!
Due to the recent price drop I thought I'd take the plunge and upgrade my i5-9600K CPU to this beast. I was very impressed with the clock speeds out of the box, but with very little effort I have this running with 7 cores @ 5.0 Ghz and one at 5.2 Ghz. Perfectly stable with temps seldom above 60s Celsius under load. I'm sure I could easily push it further, but really don't see the point as the performance is already exceptional. I have a closed loop water cooler, but nothing particularly special. Maybe I just got lucky in the silicon lottery, not really sure.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

I9900k
The I 9900k is a very big step up from my i7 4790k. My i7 server me well it was and still is a great cpu for its age so was reluctant to change but I can honestly say upgrading to the i9900k hasn’t disappointed. The process handles multiple task with ease. Running 4K video’s or playing games no problem using the on board graphics. To get the best FPS, a decent graphics card is needed but for light use there’s no problems for this processor. In my current setup I have i9900k ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-F gaming 32gb ram 1080ti gpu, both gpu and cpu are water cooled and all cores synced at 4.9Ghz, under load temps very reasonable when gaming never gone over 60 degrees Celsius Not tested with conventional air cooler.
