Versatile Workhorse
Very easy to set up and use with my M1 Mac. The preamps are nice and clean, monitoring system was easy to set up and get working almost immediately. The Focusrite software is intuitive and self explanatory. I was THRILLED that I could create a custom mix for direct monitoring without having to open up a DAW. Focusrites Clarett 8pre usb is the heart of my studio.
Focusrite makes great gear, although I have only used a fraction of it's i/o capabilities I am getting set up to tracking with all 8 inputs working, then I'll have a much better opinion of it's function. Downloading the drivers from the website was easy and I am running Studio One 4.6 and it found the hardware with no problem. Focusrite Clarett Octopre
I am pairing this unit up with my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 to get 18 analog ins. Everything works great! The Clarett Octopre sounds fantastic and I am able to insert all my external preamps to the back of the Octopre for the best sound quality. Overall, I am very satisfy with the unit.
