The neatest little gadget I have ever owend
I never thought that I would get as much help out of this little thing but I own and operate a business out of my home as well as work a full time job. We have 2 dogs that are inside at night and 2 house cats. We usually have a lot of customers come to the house for products when we get home in the evening and all day on weekends. It was not a good thing to have pet hair drifting around the floor when customers would arrive no matter how much we cleaned. By buying this little guy, we don't have that issue any longer. You set the schedule for each day and it does its job. It has gotten stuck a few times in between chairs but over all, it finds it way back to its base when it is low on charge and also when it completes the job. It alert you when the bin is full, rollers need cleaning or something is in its way. We sure have come into the "George Jetson" time frame...... Can't wait to see what's next. Great little investment. 5 stars all the way.

It does what it is advertised to do, but it just isn't tolerant of obstructions
As advertised, it is schedulable. It does "learn" what's in the rooms and either finds them or learns to avoid them. And it does a fairly good job of doing a "maintenance" sweep of our hardwood floors and area rugs. As you might expect, even with a conventional vac, small obstacles (i.e. cat toys) will tangle in the brushes. On more than one occasion, the vac as gotten hung and required manual intervention to clear either the main roller or the side-brush of a stringy cat toy. The thing most disappointing about the vac is its tendency to get stuck under our sofas. Our sofas are high enough in in the back and in some areas of the front for the vac to go completely under them. Unfortunately once under them, it seems to get disoriented and cannot find its way out and requires someone to manually pull it out and reset it. To avoid this, we've had to put pillows under the sofas to act as blockades preventing the vac from finding its way under them. The unit came with magnetic stripping that can be put down to indicate areas you don't want the vac to travel into. But there's not nearly enough included to barricade off the perimeter of even one sofa, well alone both. Add to this, the strips do not have any adhesive to allow it to stick down to the floor. All-n-all, this unit hasn't been nearly as "smart" as the advertising suggested. I don't know if a newer model or a different brand would perform better. All I know is we really have to be mindful to keep the floors clear of any/all clutter that would give any conventional vacuum and to physically block off the underside of any furniture the device is capable of going under. Otherwise it doesn't finish the job and will be found somewhere in a random spot or under something...beeping for assistance.

Gets the job done.
I have never had a robotic vacuum so this was a first for me. We have a beach house that is constantly full of sand and dust, I could never get under the bed or couches clean. This little guy does it! I LOVE IT! We make sure we put up any light throw rugs, but a large heavier bath mat it will clean easily without clogging up. It picks up more than I thought! I will never use a regular vacuum in my house again!

Horrible navigation
I've had several models of the Neato vacuums, and this one is by far the worst. It just roams around the house like its navigation system doesn't know what to do. It will hit up against a wall, or table, over and over again, until it stops and tells me to clear the path. Previous models would just turn around and go the other direction. It will also just stop in the middle of the room and say to clear the path when there is nothing in front of it. It hasn't once been able to find the base when trying to return after cleaning, or going back to recharge. I've had to pick it up and return it to the base every time. Glad I only paid $94.00 for a refurbished model. I'll probably just stick it in a closet and quit messing with it. Lesson learned, I guess.

Great little machine!
I was debating which robotic vacuum to buy and read the reviews on this machine. Some stated that it does not work well on area rugs. I have them all over my house and this has no problem with them. Just be sure to clear the pathways of cords and I put my chairs and stools up for a more thorough clean. Be patient on the first use as it is learning your home. After that, it cleaned the whole house in 1.5 hours and did not miss a spot. Highly recommend! I have pets and this picks up the hair very well. Pets are intrigued by it, but not afraid of it or bark at it. Great machine!

Great invention and time saver!
This is my second Neato vacuum. I have both running at the same time in opposite ends of the house. I have three kitties and a long haired dog. I run both machines every couple days to pick up the hair around the house and use my regular vacuum every week. The Neato vacuum saves me time and help keep the animal hair under control. I cannot program these to run as I have to pick up the cat toys before running. They will get caught in the beater bar and stop the machine. The machine is very easy to clean - waste compartment, beater bar and the spinning wheel (that cleans the edges). I empty the waste haste between each charge cycle. Would be great if there was a way to increase the waste basket. I especially like the filter on this Neato machine as it has a double filter action opposed to my older model. I am extremely pleased with this machine, but it is not a complete replacement for my regular vacuum.

Terrible, does not stay connected so it shuts down.
This is WiFi only which I did not know. I have had several botvacs. They don’t last long so get warranty. This one said it was WiFi which I thought meant that was an added feature. It is added but the only feature. So you can’t schedule or do anything like the other vacs without WiFi. If it loses its connection mid cleaning it shuts down and so far this has happened every time I have tried to use it. And to be clear my router is in the room!

Skeptic turned fan.
I was a skeptic but a friend convinced me to give this vacuum bot a try. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. This little bot does a fantastic job. I'm pleased, surprised, and impressed. I run it every other day and our floors stay clean and no fur in the hallways! Emptying it is simple and even removing the roller to clean it is simple. Great design and the algorithm that controls it's pattern on the floor is well done. It doesn't miss anything. The little spinning side brush gets the fur along the walls too. Very glad I gave this thing a chance.

Best Yet
This is my 3rd Neato and so far, I think the best. With the type of batteries in this unit, make sure you you fully charge and discharge the batteries at least a couple of times. This helps to get the most out of your batteries over time. If it takes more than one full charge to clean your floors, don’t let your Bot recharge just to do 10 minutes more of cleaning at least for the first couple of cleanings. After this, you can let it do it’s thing. It is important to do maintenance, I.e., cleaning the filter and brush on a frequent basis. Do these things and you should get very good service. We have two dogs and our Bot works every day. I’ve had other vacuum’s including Roomba and Eufy, I still think the the Neato’s are much better. IMHO. Cheers

Great Refurbished vacuum
We have been using Neato vacuums for years now and have found them to be well made and extremely useful in a busy household. This new (refurbished) Neato Botvac D80 is another example of a robot vacuum that is superior to other brands. Its main selling point for us is its ability to use LIDAR to map the house to make sure complete coverage. It also has WIFI connectivity that at least this version, will tell you through the app that it is in use or finished, and then provide a map of the house that it just finished vacuuming. All in all, this is a very good robot vacuum and we are happy with our purchase.
