Good Product & Good Value
The Daisy Model 1999DB is high quality like all Daisy products. I like the plastic, hoop cocking lever and fiber optic sight. The blue stock and forearm are plastic wood grained, so it's a little lighter than the standard Red Ryder with wood stock and forearm. Very accurate from 30 feet, 1-inch to 2-inch groups. "Not A Toy" . . . but not really a dependable (due to the probable co2 leaking) defense item. So then-really a toy?
Where did you get "better than expected"? I have owned this model before and bought it again because the seal lasted a long time under pressure of the co2. I used it for personal protection, loaded and under pressure. When the manufacturers of airguns can improve the seals to the point of keeping the guns under pressure, I will be the first to buy one. Meanwhile, if the status quo persists, I will switch to pepper spray products. Meanwhile the co2 pistols present a visual deterrent as well as the projection of the ammo which no one would not want to be hit with, of course. Fun BB gun with good features for the price.
It seems more accurate than other CO2 BB pistols I have had. I like the built in magazine and the placing of it on top of the gun so you can see how many BBs are left to shoot. The Daisy 426 is very powerful and feels great in the hand it's also very accurate at short range from anywhere from 15 to 50 yard distance it can easily be used for home security if needed I would recommend this bb pistol to anyone that like having a little fun! Best BB pistol for the price.
This bb co2 pistol is worth the price. I love how you load the bb's, It is made in Japan and I have shot well over 100 + bb's and had no problems. It is powerful enough after shooting 4 magazines.. Great target pistol.

Daisy bb guns no good, loose barrel
